About Us
The Esparto Fire Protection District was formed in March of 1931 by the Yolo County Board of Supervisors to provide fire protection, emergency medical services, and mutual aid services. Esparto Fire Protection District is governed by a board of five Fire Commissioners that are appointed by the Yolo County Board of Supervisors. The District encompasses 80 square miles that includes the Town of Esparto, the Town of Capay, and the surrounding areas. The Fire District is made up of mostly volunteer personnel that provide these services under the direction of the Fire Chief who is appointed by the Board of Commissioners. The District and its personal operate eight pieces of fire apparatus to provide service to its Residents, Visitors, and Neighbors. Esparto Fire Protection District works closely with the surrounding Fire Districts to provide and receive, mutual and auto aid throughout the county.
